Derek Chauvin, the previous police officer who was filmed along with his knee on George Floyd’s neck for almost eight minutes, advised Floyd that “it takes a heck of a number of oxygen” to speak after Floyd exclaimed the law enforcement officials have been going to kill him and that he could not breathe, transcripts of bodycam footage present. Floyd ultimately turned nonresponsive and died, and all 4 officers concerned in his demise have been fired and charged.
